Washington, D.C. — Today AmFACT President Adriana Jones released a statement in response to the announcement from the U.S. Department of Treasury of new sanctions against Sinaloa Cartel faction Los Mayos, as well as individuals and companies connected to their criminal networks. Adriana is sister to Maria “Rhonita” LeBaron and aunt to Howard Miller Jr., Krystal Miller, and Titus and Tiana Miller — all U.S. citizens and victims of the massacre carried out by the Juárez Cartel and their armed wing La Línea in 2019:

“I am grateful to President Trump, the Treasury Department, and the entire Trump administration for their commitment to holding Mexican cartels and their enablers accountable for their heinous crimes,” said AmFACT President Adriana Jones. “These terrorist organizations rely on a network of criminals to carry out murder, kidnapping, extortion, money laundering, and other acts of cartel terrorism that devastate American communities.

“These new sanctions bring us one step closer to keeping Americans safe from cartel terrorism and drug trafficking. As the Trump administration continues to hold these criminals accountable, we urge them to add the Juárez Cartel and its armed wing La Línea to the Foreign Terrorist Organization list. This designation will ensure we can protect Americans, strengthen our fight against these dangerous groups, and get justice for all victims of cartel violence.”
