Washington, D.C. — Today, American Families Against Cartel Terrorism (AmFACT) President Adriana Jones released a statement in response to the announcement from the U.S. Department of Treasury of new sanctions against a financial and manufacturing network supporting the Sinaloa Cartel. Adriana is sister to Maria “Rhonita” LeBaron and aunt to Howard Miller Jr., Krystal Miller, and Titus and Tiana Miller — all U.S. citizens and victims of the brutal massacre carried out by the Juárez Cartel and their armed wing La Línea in 2019:
“These sanctions send a clear message to those who enable cartel violence and drug trafficking that they will be held accountable,” said AmFACT President Adriana Jones. “By freezing assets and cutting off the corporate networks that fuel the Sinaloa Cartel, these sanctions will help disrupt criminals’ ability to manufacture and smuggle deadly fentanyl into the United States, dismantle human trafficking operations, and protect innocent Americans from reckless cruelty and violence.
“As the Trump administration continues to confront these criminal networks, we urge policymakers to use every available tool at their disposal to expand pressure on the Juárez Cartel and its armed wing, La Línea, including designating these dangerous groups as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. Those who profit from their violence and drug trafficking must face serious consequences.”
